Career

My journey in woodworking began in 1996 after moving back to the Twin Cities area from Colorado.  My work has evolved over the years as I have learned and refined new techniques and designs.  What started out as simply learning how to effectively join 2 pieces of wood together has grown into a passion for many different aspects of the craft.

I really enjoy working in fancy veneers from all over the world, but at the same time, I strive to make my designs simple so as not to overshadow the beauty of the wood.  Everything I create is of my own design, and is usually a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art.  From jewelry boxes and humidors, to large built-ins and custom bars, and everything in between.  I also enjoy turning wood as a distraction from making furniture.
